Our family has now entered the three-kids-at-three-different-locations stage, including Mom (Szandra) starting the taxi-driver stage of her life. Having all of our children under the age of 6 provides us with a lot of exciting and challenging new experiences (some of them funny, some of them...hmm...interesting). Szandra is making sure our home base is a warm, friendly, hospitable and cozy nest. Thankfully this year she was able to mentor 3 young ladies (staff and a student girls from our ministry) she has taught Sunday School for the little kids in our church and has been able to help out more and more in the Word of Life Hungary ministry.
Fanni, our oldest (turned 6 on Dec 25) has started first grade in a nearby Christian elementary school. Though she is the youngest child of her class, she is a very good and diligent student. We are very pleased to see her musical abilities and her tender heart for others and for the Lord Jesus.
Luca just turned four, and has a colorful personality. She only talks once a day - morning till evening. Our curly headed princess has zillions of friends, a lot of creative abilities, plus a very sharp and fast mind. Thankfully just recently she understood and accepted the Gospel, and is very much interested in the Bible and prayer.
Now comes Kiki (pronounced Keehkeeh 2.5yrs. ) - that is Laci jr. Why Kiki? That is his nickname. When our son was born, Luca could not pronounce “kicsi [keetshee] Laci” (Little Laci), she simply said “Kiki Lati...” Sometimes I think that he is the stereotype of a very active boy. Strong, determined, a mover, shaker and fighter... and a delight for all who see him. Just recently I was preaching at a church. After I was done speaking and the service was over, Kiki ran behind the pulpit “explained” me (his vocabulary is about
30 words) to lift him up, for he wanted to preach some as well. Oh, and just to chase boredom away, a fourth “child” arrived in our family this year - a kid-friendly puppy currently weighting about 90 lbs...
