Our Town and Our Home

Tóalmás is a little town of 3000, about 50 kilometers (35 miles) from the capital of Hungary, Budapest. Most people commute to Budapest to work, and that often takes 4+ hours for them daily. There is a thermal bath in town with a small public swimming pool, and, of course, the famous Andrassy castle, where Word of Life has been located since 1989.
The town is friendly and quiet. Since there are not too many jobs around here, the population is aging. There are a lot of nice homes where retired couples or widows live. Around the thermal bath there are zillions of little weekend homes (literally little, some of them are less than 400 square feet), the population almost doubles each summer, when many move out of Budapest to spend some time here.
We rent a typical house that was built in the 70-s. It has 3 bedrooms, and a large yard with grass and fruit trees. The girls really enjoy it.

Another Little Gift... and some big plans

Yesterday I had a long and meaningful conversation with my pastor at the little Reformed church we started attending since we moved back. Among a zillion other things he asked me about the kids. What a miracle it was that after 7 years, and after the many medical difficulties and trials a of childlessness God gave us Fanni - on December 25, 2004. The perfect Christmas gift she was. Then, in 22 months came Luca. And now... with greatful hearts here comes baby #3. Yes, Szandra is pregnant again and the new little one is due early July. Now, that is going to be a very interesting time, having three kids under four in our home.
Also yesterday, we had a long and detailed conversation with an architect about our plans to build a home. Right now we are renting a home, but it costs a small fortune to heat it, since insulation is bad. So, we decided to build. So, we are making decisions for the upcoming decades and that is not simple.
Please pray for us.
