Bibleclub Began

There wasn’t a year between 1995-2003 when Szandra and I did not lead a Bible Club somewhere in Hungary at a church. Between 2000-2003 it meant our local Tóalmás club. Then we moved to Dallas and the club here slowly stopped functioning. However the need has always been present, particularly now when our staff only has about 21 children. Thankfully the Tóalmás Bible Club is back and alive again! This time we are focusing on 7-12 year old children and the meetings go very well. Many thanks to Jill and Paul Weaver for opening their home and hosting a growing group of children week by week. Jill is not only our hostess, but a gifted administrator, while Laci would rather call himself a coach, training and helping the leadership group. Not only the club is back, but some of the old club-kids (now young adults, of course) are back as well. 3 of our former clubber teens have different responsibilities in the club leadership in reaching out to the children of our town! Roof Reconstructed

After 5 months of work, at the end of November the renovation of castle’s roof was finished. The roof is now in its original beautiful shape again. From the outside you can see beautiful black shingles, individually crafted ornaments and the classical symmetry of fine architecture.

While from the outside it may not be seen, now we have a great new possibility of developing the attic in a state-of-the-art bible school facility. The structure was rebuilt such way that now we gained a lot of useful space to create two classrooms, a couple of offices and a new library.

The heating system of the building was also modernized. The replacement of all the pipes, and other major changes will make it possible for our ministry to have a warmer building on the one hand, and save energy at the same time on the other.

NEW CHILDREN AND NEW SISTERS

My new children: As the fall begun I started teaching 3-6 year old kids in our church. During the worship service we sing, they listen to a Bible story, learn a verse, then we play. I am truly thankful for this opportunity that gives me more time to spend in God's word and see our own and other children learn and benefit from it. My girl-friend Ildiko and I take turns teaching and as we do it together we grow in Christ.

My new sisters: At the Word of Life Bible Institute I am mentoring 2 young ladies (Laci is mentoring a young man). The girls are such a delight as they are looking for the Lord's guidance and direction in their lives. I meet with them both together twice a month and then individually once a month. I can only hope that they are at least as much blessed as I am through them.

GUESTBOOK FILLING UP

About once a month Laci takes the guest teacher at the Bible Institute sightseeing and then they come home for dinner. For the most time it means seeing friends but we meet new people as well. It's a joy anyways and the kids know it's a special night with dessert and a longer movie, so that we can enjoy some fellowship. It usually works really well. Can't wait to have some of you too!

It was such a delight having some of our long time supporters and friends come and visit with us for a couple of days. They played with and loved our children just like their own grandkids and they helped me around the house a whole lot. Thank you dear Dave and Rosemarie, you have encouraged us greatly.

We really do enjoy having overnight guests in our house. At the beginning of October Laci's parents came for a short parental birthday visit. The kids loved the extra attention and I got to talk to some adults all day long. Not that I am a big talker but it does store up if you don't have adult company for a long time. BIRTHDAYS AND OTHER FAMILY ADVENTURES

On October 16th Laci opened the birthday season and he was thrilled to get some of his favorite pictures of the Dallas skyline framed. I think he even watched a movie - a rarity with 3 kids. Our evenings are busy with putting the kids down, with plannig our next day, or the weekend ministry which is about every other weekend. On some rare nights Laci really enjoys projects around the house such as building a walk-in closet in our bedroom, installing a bathroom cabinet under the sink, cleaning up the basement/garage etc. I am thankful that he enjoys these after long days at work.

Luca was next, turning 3 on November 4th and then starting kindergarden. From the first day on she acted like she had always belonged there. Our middle one is a happy and social child. She likes to explore, to try out new things and to meet new kids. Now she thinks she is equal with Fanni... We got her a toy microphone since she is also convinced that she is a professional singer...

Fanni is turning 5 this coming Christmas and is very excited about the possibility of starting school next Fall. She is a very responsible child, remembers homework when her teacher gives them one. We need to help her improve in recognizing her right and left sides and in her time awareness. Fanni loves being the big sister and is very helpful around the house and in the kitchen.

Little Laci thinks he is a great help around the house too, but often he is more like a tsunami or a tornado. When I see all the tupperware, plastic cups and other kitchen gadgets on the floor it really makes me wonder if we should have industrial strenght steel gates in the house. He is turning 18 months in December and is a real boy. He loves helping daddy, whatever he does, from drinking coffee to doing quiet time, from fixing things around the house to playing the guitar.

Life is fun and so is family and ministry! Looking forward to all the blessings at this coming Holiday Season and to a Christ-centered New Year. Wishing you the same!
